IBM i File System DR Backup Options

Use this dialog box to schedule or immediately run an IBM i File System Disaster Recovery backup.

• *Resume

  Select this option to start the subsystems based on the startup program after the 1-Touch Disaster Recover backup completes.

• *Reboot

  Select this option to perform an initial program load (IPL) after the 1-Touch Disaster Recover backup completes.

  Note

  If you specified a custom startup program, then the system value "QSTRUPPGM" changes to the custom startup program before the IPL is starts so that the custom startup program runs during the IPL.

  • Leave the system in restricted state

    Select this option to leave the system in restricted state after the DR backup operation and initial program load (IPL) complete.

    Caution

    Select this option only if you intend to leave system in restricted state for your operations.

    You should select this check box only when you have a connected IBM i console with an authorized person monitoring the console so that they can manually start the /TCPIP/Applications subsystems.

  Specifies that this job will run immediately.

• Schedule

  Specifies that this job will be scheduled. Click Configure to specify the schedule details.
