Passing the Instance Name to Pre- and Post-Process Scripts for Databases

By default, the database instance name is not sent to the pre-process and post-process scripts. If needed, the database instance can be sent to the script as "-ins <InstanceName>" to the scripts.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, right-click the CommServe node and then click Properties.

2. In the CommCell Properties dialog box, click the Additional Settings tab and then click Add.

   The Add Additional Settings dialog box is displayed.

3. Enter the details for the additional setting:

   1. In the Name box, type JMPassInstanceNameArgForScript.

   2. In the Category box, select CommServDB.GxGlobalParam.

   3. In the Type box, select Integer.

   4. In the Value box, type 1.

   5. Click OK to close the Additional Settings dialog box.

Click OK to close the CommCell Properties dialog box.
