You can use a Remote Snap MA computer to run snapshot operations on the storage array instead of the MediaAgent computer in the local host. The following list contains the storage arrays that support the Remote Snap MA feature.

If the HPE 3PAR StoreServ /Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE GreenLake for Block is the backend storage array of the Dell EMC VPLEX storage array, then the Remote MediaAgent computer on the backend HPE 3PAR StoreServ / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE GreenLake for Block array is NOT supported.

For the HPE 3PAR StoreServ / Primera / HPE Alletra 9000 Series / HPE GreenLake for Block storage array, you can select multiple MediaAgents as Remote Snap MediaAgents.
If you have an environment with multiple CommCell Consoles, then you must use the Commvault Platform Release 2024 version of the CommCell Console to configure multiple Remote Snap MediaAgents.
