Restoring File System Data to Google Cloud Storage

You can restore the data that resides on one of your CommCell Console clients to a Google Cloud Storage client.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > File System > backup set.

  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

    The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

  3. Click View Content.

  4. Select the data that you want to restore, and click Recover All Selected.

    The Restore Options dialog box appears.

  5. On the General tab, provide the destination information:

    1. From the Destination Client list, select the object storage client.

    2. From the Destination Instance list, select the instance.

    3. In the Number of streams box, type the number of streams to use for the restore operation.

  6. On the Job Initiation tab, specify whether to run the restore now or if it will be scheduled.

    Note: If you selected Schedule, set up the schedule.

  7. Click OK.

  8. To monitor the progress of the restore job, see Job Controller.
