Restoring Google Cloud Storage Data to the Cloud

Updated

You can restore the Google Cloud Storage data back to cloud.

If you perform a restore from the instance level, all data in the Google Cloud Storage service account can be restored in a single restore job.

The restore operation to the cloud uses dynamically-allocated multiple streams for optimal load sharing.

Procedure

  1. From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers > client > Cloud Apps > instance.

  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Browse and Restore.

The Browse and Restore Options dialog box appears.

  3. Click View Content.

  4. Select the data that you want to restore, and click Recover All Selected.

The Restore Options dialog box appears.

  5. On the General tab, provide the destination information:

    1. Select the Cloud check box.

    2. From the Destination Client list, select the appropriate client.

    3. From the Destination Instance list, select the appropriate instance.

    4. In the Destination Path box, type the full restore location path.

  6. On the Job Initiation tab, specify whether to run the restore now or if it will be scheduled.

Note: If you selected Schedule, set up the schedule.

For information on configuring a restore schedule, see Schedule Restore.

  7. Click OK.

To monitor the progress of the restore job, see Job Controller.
