Scheduling a Backup for VMware

When performing a backup, you can create a schedule that automatically executes the backup on a periodic basis. Any options specified for the backup will be used whenever the scheduled backup executes.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers > virtualization_client > Virtual Server > VMware > backup_set.

2. Right-click the subclient and click Backup.

3. Click Schedule to schedule the backup for a specific time.

4. Click Configure to set the schedule for the backup job.

5. In the Schedule Details dialog box, select the appropriate scheduling options. For example:

   • Select Weekly.

   • Select the days you want the run the backup job.

   • Change the Start Time to 9:00 PM.

6. Click OK to close the Schedule Details dialog box.

7. Click OK to close the Backup Options dialog box.
