Setting Up VPN Services

Before users can install the VPN Access software on their computers, you must set up the Commvault VPN services in your CommCell environment.

The setup instructions are intended for the CommCell administrator.

Process Flow

1. Set Up the VPN Router

   This task involves the following main steps:

   1. Designate a client or client group as the VPN router.

   2. Configure the users that can and cannot have access to private resources.

   3. Enable the VPN router setting on the Commvault Process Manager application.

2. Preconfigure VPN Clients

   This task involves the following main steps:

   1. Configure network routing rules on the clients or client group that will be used as VPN clients.

   2. Define the applications that can be accessed by VPN clients.

3. Notify users that they can install the VPN Access software on their computers.
