Subclient Properties (Content)

Updated

Use this tab to define the contents of a new subclient or to change the content of an existing subclient. Mailboxes that appear in the Contents of subclient list are backed up, migrated, archived, or content indexed by the subclient.

Note

Only the options that apply to the agent that is located on the client appear in the dialog box. All the options described in this topic might not be available for the agent that you are using.

  • Alias Name

The alias name of the mailbox that is included in the content for this subclient.

  • SMTP Address

Configure

When this button is clicked, the Add/Modify Mailboxes dialog box appears. Use this dialog box to discover and change the associations of the mailboxes with the subclients. Any mailboxes that are included in the content for a user-defined backupset or subclient is excluded from the default backupset or subclient automatically.

Include only these folders (separated by ;). All other folders will be skipped

Type the root-level mailbox folder names that you want to archive for the subclient. All messages and subfolders contained within the specified folders are also archived. If you type more than one folder name, separate each folder name with a semicolon (;). For example: Inbox; Sent Items; Drafts

Include all messages

When this option is selected, all messages within the selected mailboxes are protected.

Include only the messages that meet the message rule

When this option is selected, only messages that satisfy the rules that are configured on the Message Rule tab are protected.

Delete archived messages after successful archive operations

When this check box is selected, all the messages are deleted from the mailbox after the messages have been archived. This check box should be selected only when you archive Journaling mailboxes.

Best Practice: In this case, the backup phase of the operation is a full backup, and not incremental. If this option is cleared and the messages remain in the mailbox, the next archive job processes and archives the messages again. To prevent this from happening, make sure that the check box is selected.
