System Requirements for the Dell EMC VNX / CLARiiON Storage Array

Before you configure your storage array, verify that your environment meets the following requirements.

Licenses

Install the following licenses.

Use one of the following protocols.

Use the following version and firmware.

Dell EMC VNX	VNX 7500, 5700, 5500, 5300, 5100 VNX 8000, 7600, 5800, 5600, 5400, 5200 For VNX snapshots, VNX OE for Block Version 05.32 or later

Install the following software.

Dell EMC VNX / CLARiiON	Solutions Enabler 7.6.2*, on the client and proxy computers Navisphere Host Agent on the client and proxy computers Client components (SYMCLI) are required only during the initial one-time configuration. Base components (with SYMAPI) are necessary and required for all snap operations
Dell EMC VNX	Solutions Enabler 7.6.2*, on the client and proxy computers Navisphere CLI on client and proxy (only for VNX snapshots) Navisphere or Unisphere Host Agent on the client and proxy computers Client components (SYMCLI) are required only during the initial one-time configuration. Base components (with SYMAPI) are necessary and required for all snap operations

Note

* Solutions Enabler 7.6.2 is the only supported version.

You do not need to open any specific port.
