Use this dialog box to update software on one or more client computers in your CommCell environment.
Note
If the CommServe server or the Web Server need to be rebooted during an update, the system will automatically manage the reboot process.

Reboot the agents if required |
Select to automatically reboot the client or MediaAgent computer during the platform release installation process. The Commvault software determines whether the reboot is required. |

Run Database Maintenance (includes checkdb and reindexall) |
This option applies to the CommServe computer and clients that have server packages installed, such as the Web Server and Workflow Engine. The software performs database maintenance only during the Feature Release installations and skips for Maintenance Release installations. |

Install Maintenance Release Only |
This option installs maintenance releases as follows:

**Install Windows OS updates (if applicable) ** |
Select this option if you also want to install Windows OS updates when you install Commvault platform release or maintenance release on a backup appliance, CommServe server, Web Server, or MediaAgent client. Note

Install MS SQL Server updates (if applicable) |
Select this option if you also want to install MS SQL Server updates when you install Commvault platform release updates on a backup appliance, CommServe server, or Web Server client. Note

Auto Install passive nodes |
Select this option if you install the platform release on the CommServe computer that is configured in a cluster environment. After the platform release is installed on the active node, the installation program automatically continues to update each passive node.

Save As Script
Click to open the Save As Script dialog box, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be run from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute
command.
When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog box has a corresponding XML element in the script file. When you run the script, you can modify the value in any of these XML elements.
