Flow for vRealize Operations for VMware

  1. A VMware Aria Automation (formerly vRealize Automation) portal user requests an operation for virtual machines.

  2. The Aria Automation Console submits a request to the vRealize Orchestrator client.

  3. The vRealize Orchestrator client uses a REST API call to send a login request to the Commvault Web Server.

  4. The Commvault Web Server returns an authorization token.

  5. The vRealize Orchestrator client uses REST API calls that include the authorization token to send requests for the operation to the Commvault Web Server.

  6. The Commvault Web Server sends requests to the CommServe system to submit jobs for the requested operation.

  7. The Commvault Web Server sends the vRealize Orchestrator client responses to the request.

  8. The vRealize Orchestrator client sends the request response to the Aria Automation Console.

  9. The Aria Automation Console updates the request status.

  10. The Jobs page in the Command Center shows the progress of the requested operation.
