Online Data Mobility (ODM) enables non-disruptive workload movement between INFINIDAT arrays without downtime.
You can use the Commvault software to create snapshots of devices that are under migration in INFINIDAT arrays.
How ODM Works
When the data migration process is initiated, the source array takes the snapshots.
When the source and target volumes are synchronized, the snapshot replication works similarly to active-active replication feature: The snapshot backup operation creates snapshots on both arrays of the active-active replication pair.
Once the data migration completes and the cut-over is done, then only the target array takes snapshots. At this point, the pre-migration source volume is unmapped from the host by cut-over operation.
