You can back up the entire Enterprise Backup-enabled instance by running full and incremental backups on the default subclient.

You cannot initiate an automatic schedule for running log backups on the default subclient of an instance that has enterprise backup enabled.

The size of application value shown in a completed job details represents the amount of data that MySQL Enterprise Backup (MEB) sends to the backup system after the backup phase finishes. This value reflects the size of the MEB-generated backup files, which might already include compression performed by MEB. It does not indicate the actual physical size of the MySQL database or its data files on disk.
