AWS Recovery Using a Recovery Profile

You can use an Cloud Rewind Recovery Profile to create pre-defined recovery templates that you can use at the time of recovery. A Recovery Profile will reduce recovery time and allows you to store custom recovery configurations for different scenarios.

Creating a Recovery Profile from a Cloud Connection

A Recovery Profile from a Cloud Connection serves as a master template that can be applied to all Cloud Assemblies created under a specific connection.

  1. Login to the Cloud Rewind portal
  2. Open the AWS Cloud Connection for which you want to create a recovery profile.
  3. Click the "Actions" at the top right and select "Recovery Profile”.
  4. Click the "Create Recovery Profile" at the top right.
  5. Enter the name and description of the recovery profile.
  6. Select the recovery region type.
  7. Choose the source and destination regions.
  8. Configure webhooks by clicking the "Add webhook" option.
  9. Enable the necessary recovery configurations.
  10. Verify your settings and click "Create.

Creating a Recovery Profile from a Cloud Assembly

You can create a Recovery Profile from a Cloud Assembly based on the predefined recovery configurations specific to that setup.

Note

Cloud Assembly recovery profiles cannot be shared or used for other Cloud Assembly recoveries.

  1. Login to the Cloud Rewind portal.
  2. Open the AWS Cloud Assembly for which you want to create a recovery profile.

  4. Click the "Create Recovery Profile" at the top right.
