Adding or Removing Databases For Synchronization

Critical databases needed by the CommServe server after a failover are included and replicated by the live sync operation. The non-critical databases are not included by design, to speed-up the replication process. If necessary, the non-critical databases can be added if it is needed to meet a specific requirement in your environment.


  1. On the CommCell Console ribbon, in the Home tab, click Control Panel.

    The Control Panel dialog box appears.

  2. In the CommCell group, click CommServe LiveSync.

    The CommServe LiveSync dialog box appears.

  3. Click Advanced.
  4. In the Failover Databases area, select the databases by moving them from the Available list to the Selected list. (The CVCloud, CommServ, and DM2 databases are included by default.)
  5. Click OK.
