Creating a Network Pair

You can set up a network pair between a server/server group and another server.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Manage > Network > Backup networks.
  2. On the Network pairs screen, click Add.

    The Configure network pairs dialog box appears.

  3. Click Select computers.
  4. From the Select 1st computer list, select the first server or server group.
  5. From the Select 2nd computer list, select the second server or server group.
  6. Click Select network pairs.
  7. Click Add network pairs.

    The Add interfaces dialog box appears.

  8. In the first computer list, either enter an interface, or select from the list of available interfaces.

    Note: If the first computer is a client group, you can use wildcard expressions or CIDR notation to enter a network range, as follows:

    • Wildcard examples:
      10.*
      10.0.*
      *.backup.com
    • CIDR examples:
      10.0.0.1/8
      192.168.100.14/24
  9. In the second computer list, either enter an interface, or select from the list of available interfaces.

    Note: If the second computer is a client group, you can use wildcard expressions or CIDR notation to enter a network range, as follows:

    • Wildcard examples:
      10.*
      10.0.*
      *.backup.com
    • CIDR examples:
      10.0.0.1/8
      192.168.100.14/24
  10. Select the Enabled check box.
  11. Click Add.

    The newly added network pair will appear in a table.

  12. Click Save.
