Configuring the Cisco HyperFlex Storage Array Using Array Management

Add the Cisco HyperFlex storage array in Array Management in the CommCell Console.

Before You Begin

Discover the IP address of the Cisco HyperFlex cluster. See Discovering the Cisco HyperFlex Cluster Data IP Address.


  1. On the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click the Storage tab, and then click Array Management.

    The Array Management dialog box appears.

  2. Click Add.

    The Array Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the General tab, specify the following information:
    1. From the Snap Vendor list, select Cisco HyperFlex.
    2. In the Name box, enter the management IP of the Cisco HyperFlex array.
    3. In the Credentials area, click Change.

      The Enter the User Name and Password dialog box appears.

    4. Type the credentials of a user who has the administrator or root privilege to access the array, and then click OK.
  4. Optional: If you have the following scenarios, add an array access node:
    • To use the secondary live snapshot for the backup copy operation, click the Array Access Nodes tab, and then add a proxy MediaAgent or a source computer as an array access node for the secondary array.
    • To add a MediaAgent to perform additional operations on the storage array, click the Array Access Nodes tab, and then select the options that you want for the MediaAgent.

  5. On the Snap Configuration tab, in the Array Host Aliases box, type the data IP address of the Cisco Hyperflex cluster.
  6. Click OK.
