Recovering From a MediaAgent Disaster

A MediaAgent installed on the Remote Office Appliance RO1100 can be recovered, if it becomes inaccessible or inoperable due to a hardware crash or network issues.


  1. Install the MediaAgent on the Remote Office Appliance RO1100.

  2. Verify the successful completion of the disaster recovery operation by ensuring that the new LUNs are accessible from the server.

  3. Restore and resynchronize the deduplication database (DDB) to bring the DDB online and revert it to a reusable state.
