Options on the Views Configuration Page

Use the Views Configuration page to configure the following options.

  • Name: Enter a name for the view in this box.
  • Title: Enter a title to display to users on the application page in this box.
  • Description: Enter a description for the page that appears below the title in this box.
  • Fields: To display all fields or display only some of the fields in this view, select either check box.
    • Show specific fields: To display only some of the fields in this view, select this option.
    • Left and Right lists: To move fields from the left list to the right list, select a field, and then click the right-arrow button . The list on the left displays the fields that are available, and the list on the right displays the fields that display in the view.
  • Form association: Select the forms that you want to display in the view.
    • Edit form: Select a form where users can edit fields.
    • Add form: Select a form that users can submit.
    • Multi edit form: Select a form where users can edit multiple fields.
  • Show bulk import option: To allow users to include this view in a bulk import operation, select this check box.

Filters

  • Match Any or All of the following conditions: Specify when to execute the action.
    • Any: To execute the action when any of the configured conditions are met, select this option.
    • All: To execute the action only when all the configured conditions are met, select this option.
  • Add Condition: To add a new condition, click this link.
    • Select: Select a field. The options that appear in this list are all the fields that you configured on the Fields tab.
    • Select operator: Select an operator. Depending on the type of values that are configured for the field that you selected, any of the following operators might be available. The operators that are available depend on the type of values that you configured.
    • Select: Select one of the values that is configured for the field that you selected.

Sorting

  • Add: To configure sorting options for specific fields, click this link.
    • List: Select a field.
    • Asc: To sort the field data in ascending order, select this option.
    • Desc: To sort the field data in descending order, select this option.

Table Level UI Actions

  • To exclude a UI action from the application page, clear the check box beside it.
  • To include a UI action in the application page, select the check box beside it.
  • To change the order of the UI actions in the application page, select a UI action and then use the up arrow button and the down arrow button to move the UI action.

Row Level UI Actions

  • To exclude a UI action from the Edit menu, clear the check box beside it.
  • To include a UI action in the Edit menu, select the check box beside it.
  • To change the order of the UI actions in the Edit menu, select a UI action and then use the up arrow button and the down arrow button to move the UI action.
