REST API Reports |
If you use a REST API request to run the RptMonthStorageUsage stored procedure, after upgrading to SP18, you must update your REST API to remove the Tag Notes<HIDDEN> column. In the RptMonthStorageUsage stored procedure, the Tag Notes<HIDDEN> column does not appear when the Aggregate Limit parameter is equal to the Subclient Copy parameter and billing tags are not configured in the CommServe server. Previously, REST API requests that ran in the RptMonthStorageUsage stored procedure included the Tag Notes<HIDDEN> column in the response. |

Storage in theCommand Center |
The Storage Target node and the Storage Pool node are removed from the Command Center. The new Storage node displays only the global deduplication policies, the global storage policies, and the storage (cloud, disk, and tape) that are associated with these policies. Note: The following are not visible in the Command Center: blind tape libraries, IP libraries, plug and play (PnP) libraries, tapes, and removable magnetic standalone drives (such as RDX drives). Previously, the storage targets and the storage pools were available as separate nodes in the Command Center and displayed all the storage pools, including the standalone storage policies and the storage targets. |
|
SP18 |
Storage policy copies in the Command Center |
When you create a storage policy copy, it is automatically associated with the System Created Autocopy schedule policy. You cannot edit this schedule policy. Previously, when you created a storage policy copy, it was associated with an auxiliary copy schedule that was created for each individual plan. |

Virtual Server Agent (all hypervisors) |
For SP18 and more recent service packs, backups for a default subclient complete successfully if the subclient does not include any virtual machines. |

Virtual Server Agent (all hypervisors) |
For application-aware backups, you can restore from a secondary copy that was created using a selective copy operation. After you upgrade to SP18, if a selective copy is configured for a VM, the first application-aware backup of the VM is always a full backup, even if you requested a different backup type. |

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) |
For Service Pack 18, when you create a new GCP hypervisor, by default, the client uses Indexing Version 2 for VM-centric operations. You can continue to use GCP hypervisors that were configured before Service Pack 18 for backup and restore operations. However, these clients will continue to use Indexing Version 1. |
