Restoring a Database Group for Amazon RDS for MySQL
You can browse and restore one or more databases for Amazon RDS for MySQL.
Procedure
- From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The Instances page appears.
- Click the instance.
The instance page appears.
- Under Database groups, for the database group that you want to back up, click the action button
, and then click Restore.
The Backup content page appears.
- Select the databases that you want to restore, and then click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.
- Follow the steps for the type of restore operation you want to run:
- To run an in-place restore operation, on the In place tab, select a staging location.
Note: For an in-place restore operation, the destination client and the destination instance are the same as the source client and the source instance.
- To run an out-of-place restore operation, on the Out of place tab, select the destination client and the destination instance.
- To restore to a disk, complete the following steps:
- On the Restore to disk tab, select the destination client.
- In the Destination folder box, select a staging location.
- To run an in-place restore operation, on the In place tab, select a staging location.
- Click Submit.
