Adding an Azure Blob Object Storage Repository for Subscription Based Backups with Azure VMs as Access Nodes

To back up an Azure Blob object storage repository, add the repository.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Object storage.

   The Object storage page appears.

2. In the upper-right area of the page, click Add object storage.
3. The Add object storage dialog box appears.
4. From the Vendor box, select Azure Blob.
5. Enter the following information:
   • Object storage name: Enter a name for the repository.
   • Host URL: Enter the Azure Blob Storage service account URL, management.azure.com.
   • Azure account name: Enter the name of the Azure Blob Storage account, the Azure account subscriptionID.
   • Access key: Do not enter any access key.
   • Access node: Select the VM that you created in the Microsoft Azure portal.
   • Backup plan: Select the backup plan that you want to use for this object storage repository.
6. Click Save.
