Deleting the Content Index of a Specific Backup Job

You can delete the content indexes for a job that was previously content indexed and prevent the job from being content indexed further. Once the content indexes are deleted, the Content Index Status for the specific job is changed to Not Picked (that is, the next content indexing operation is not include this job for content indexing).

  1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Policies | Storage Policies.
  2. Right-click the <Storage Policy> that is used during the Content Index Engine installation, and then click View | Jobs.
  3. Clear the Specify Time Range check box in the Job Filter for Storage Policy dialog box.

    By default, the jobs that were initiated in the past 24 hours appear. If you clear the Specify Time Range check box, all of the jobs that are associated with the copy appear.

    A list of jobs that are associated with the copy appears in the right pane of the CommCell browser.

  4. Right-click the job, and then select Delete Content Indexing Job.
  5. Click OK.
