  • In-place: Restore data to the location from which it was backed up
  • Out-of-place: Restore data to the following destinations:
    • An instance running in the same or a different cloud platform (such as Amazon, Google, Alibaba, Azure) across regions.
    • An on-premises instance
    • A disk location

Note: You can perform cross-cloud MySQL databases restore operations from one cloud platform to a different cloud platform (such as Amazon, Google, Alibaba, Azure).
