Enabling End-User ACLs to Browse From the Commvault Command Line Interface (cvc) on UNIX

From the Commvault End-User Command Line Interface (cvc), you can browse or search based on the file and directory permissions set on the source client computer by enabling backup of end-user ACLs.

Before You Begin

Set the necessary ACLs for the child and the parent (and higher-level ancestors) directories, see End-User ACLs for Browsing From the Commvault Command Line Interface (cvc).


  1. From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > client > File System, and then click the backup set.
  2. Right-click the subclient, and then click Properties.

    The Subclient Properties dialog box appears.

  3. On the Advanced Options tab, select the Catalog ACL (end user access control list) check box.
  4. Click OK.
