Enabling End-User ACLs to Browse From the Commvault Command Line Interface (cvc) on UNIX
From the Commvault End-User Command Line Interface (cvc), you can browse or search based on the file and directory permissions set on the source client computer by enabling backup of end-user ACLs.
Before You Begin
Set the necessary ACLs for the child and the parent (and higher-level ancestors) directories, see End-User ACLs for Browsing From the Commvault Command Line Interface (cvc).
- From the CommCell Browser, go to Client Computers > client > File System, and then click the backup set.
- Right-click the subclient, and then click Properties.
The Subclient Properties dialog box appears.
- On the Advanced Options tab, select the Catalog ACL (end user access control list) check box.
- Click OK.
