Setting Up the HyperScale Browser

The HyperScale Browser can be used to deploy and setup the nodes.

Prerequisites

  • A Windows 10 based desktop/virtual machine, Windows Server 2016 server/virtual machine, or Windows Server 2019 server/virtual machine, residing in the Data Protection network.
  • Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox web-browser to launch the program.

Procedure

  1. Login to the Windows based computer.
  2. Download the HyperScale Browser package from Commvault Store on the Cloud Services web site.

    Note: You must have a user account on the Cloud Services website. To create a user account, register your CommServe computer. If you already have a user account, you still might need to register your CommServe computer. For instructions, see Register Your Product.

    1. On the login page, type your login credentials and then click Login.

      Commvault Store appears and lists the items available for download.

      Note: If you are not redirected to Commvault Store, click Store on the My Applications page in Web Console.

    2. Click HYPERSCALE from the HOME menu on the left side, and then click HyperScaleX.

      The HyperScale X page will be displayed.

  3. Download the HyperScaleBrowser package.
  4. Locate the downloaded package and run the installer to install the package.

    This will create a shortcut on your Desktop.

  5. From your Desktop, double-click the Hyperscale Browser shortcut that was created.

    Note: Use a modern web-browser, such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge to launch the HyperScale Browser. Internet Explorer is not supported.

  6. The HyperScale Appliance Browser dialog box is displayed.

  7. Deploy the nodes as described in Setting Up the Nodes with Basic Networking.
