Network Shares for the NAS Client

The network share backup for the NAS client protects and recovers file server data with CIFS shares and NFS exports. The Windows File System agent backs up CIFS shares, and the UNIX File System agent backs up NFS exports mounted on a given proxy computer. The tape backup support uses the Windows File System agent under NAS and Windows clients to back up UNC paths, or the UNIX File System agent under NAS and UNIX clients to back up mounted NFS exports. The backup job walks the entire CIFS share or NFS export for each kind of backup to determine the files to protect.
