Deleting the Oracle RAC Logs after a Backup Operation

You can delete the Oracle RAC logs after a backup operation.

Caution: Verify that the logs in the specified location are backed up. This may cause data loss if those archive logs are not backed up.

  1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers | <RAC Client> | <Instance>.
  2. Right-click the <Subclient>, and then click Properties.
  3. Click the Log Destinations tab.
  4. Select the Select Archive Log Destinations for Delete check box.
  5. Click Yes to close the warning message.
  6. In the Confirmation box, type confirm.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Add.
  9. Type or select the Archive log file destination.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click OK.
