Setting Up IMAP Client Access

You can view archived messages on mobile devices that support an IMAP client. Before you can view your messages, you must set up IMAP client access on your device.

Before You Begin

You need the following information:

  • ContentStore Mail Server (IMAP) name (Incoming Mail Server) and port number
  • SMTP server name and port number
  • Your user name (this is your domainname\username)

    If you use an Android device, the format is domainname/username.

  • Your email address
  • Your Windows logon password


You can use any mail client that supports IMAP. To set up IMAP client access, refer to the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your mail client.

The following are some of the more common clients that support IMAP client access:

  • Android Mail

    How you set up the access client depends on the manufacturer of the device, and the version of the operating system installed on the device. Consult the manufacturer's documentation for the correct procedure.

  • Mac iOS Mail
  • Windows Phone

Note: Make sure that you use the IMAP settings, not the POP settings.
