All Jobs by Job Status

The All Jobs chart displays the number of jobs in each status type, such as Completed or Killed, that ran during the specified time period.

By clicking on a Job Status section in this chart, you can view the Completed Jobs by Agents chart, which includes more details about all jobs in that status.

Job Status Types

This table defines each job status type.

Job Status

Description

Completed

Jobs that completed during the specified time.

Completed with Errors

Jobs that completed with errors.

Completed with Warnings

Jobs that completed with warnings.

Killed

Jobs that were killed.

Failed

Jobs that failed.

Running

Jobs that were running at the time of the report.

Delayed

Jobs that were in a status such as Waiting, Pending, Queued, or Suspended at the time of the report.

No Run

Jobs that are scheduled to run, but did not run. Possible reasons that scheduled jobs do not run include:

  • Activity is disabled on the client
  • Multiple jobs are scheduled to run at the same time

Column

Description

Job Status

The status of backup jobs. For a complete description, see Job Status Types.

Total Jobs

The total number of backup jobs in each status.

Size of Application

Total amount of data in each job status.

Media Size

Total amount of media in each job status.

Protected Objects

Total number of protected objects in each job status.

For Windows and UNIX File System agents, only files are counted as objects. Folders and directories are not counted as objects.

Failed Objects

The number of objects that failed to back up.

Files backed up with the Exchange Database agent are not included in this count.

For Windows and UNIX File System agents, only files are counted as objects. Folders and directories are not counted as objects.

Failed Folders

The number of folders that failed to back up.

Job Details

This table lists each job that ran on the CommCell during the specified period of time.

Column

Description

Job ID

The identifier that was assigned to the job.

CommCell

The name of the CommServe computer.

Client

The name of the client computer where the job ran.

Agent

The type of agent where the job ran.

Instance

The name of the instance where the job ran.

Backup Set

The name of the backup set where the job ran.

Subclient

The name of the subclient where the job ran.

Backup Type

The type of job, such as Full or Incremental.

Operation Type

The type of job, such as Backup, Synthetic Full, or Snap Backup.

Start Time

The date and time when the job initiated.

End Time

The date and time when the job stopped.

Job Status

The status of the job on the subclient, such as Completed, Killed, or Failed.

Size of Application

The amount of data that was included in the job.

Media Size

The amount of media that was consumed by the job.

Network Size

The amount of network space used by the job.

Dedup Savings (%)

The percentage of data that was saved through deduplication.

Protected Objects

The number of protected objects in the job.

For Windows and UNIX File System agents, only files are counted as objects. Folders and directories are not counted as objects.

Failed Objects

The number of objects that failed to back up or archive during the job.

For Windows and UNIX File System agents, only files are counted as objects. Folders and directories are not counted as objects.

Failed Folders

The number of folders that failed to back up or archive during the job.

Client Group

The name of the client group where the backup job ran.

Storage Policy

The storage policy associated with the job.

MediaAgent

The MediaAgent used for the job.

Failure

A message the describes why the job failed.

Throughput (GB/Hour)

The amount of data throughput in gigabytes per hour.

Is VM

An indication of whether the job ran on a VM.

Parent Job ID

The ID for the parent job.

Virtualization Client

The name of the Virtualization client computer where the job ran.

Data appears only when a Virtual Server is the only agent type selected from the Agents tab. If the Virtual Server option is selected, then the Client, Agent, and Subclient columns do not appear in the table.
