Default Data Views for the Check Readiness for File System Clients, Database Clients, and Pseudo Clients

Connectivity

Client

The information in this window indicates the status of the client's or pseudo client's connection to the network.

If the client or MediaAgent is not connected, the table displays a description of the problem.

MediaAgent

The dialog box displays the status of the MediaAgent's connection to the network.

Information

File System Client

The information displayed in this window includes the connectivity status for each subclient and its related storage policies and MediaAgent. If the client to which the subclients belong is not connected to the network, a description of the connectivity problem appears in the table under Readiness Status.

Database Client

The information displayed in this window includes the connectivity status for each file system and database subclient and its related storage policies and MediaAgent.

The following configuration criteria is listed:

Database Client

Configuration Criteria

DB2
  1. The DB2 instance status.
  2. The DB2 instance user account name.
  3. The DB2 instance user account is a member of the Commvault install group.
  4. The DB2 instance user account has read and write permissions for the following directories:
    • The Commvault registry
    • The base directory
    • The Commvault  log file directory
    • The DB2 Archive Log Directory
    • The DB2 Audit Error Path directory
    • The DB2 Retrieve Path directory

Oracle
  1. The Commvault registry, log files and base directories that the database user has read and write permissions for.
  2. The Commvault install group the database user is a member of.
  3. The database status.
  4. The RMAN SBT channel allocation.

SAP Oracle
  1. The Commvault registry, log files and base directories that the database user has read and write permissions for.
  2. The Commvault install group the database user is a member of.
  3. The database status.
  4. The RMAN SBT channel allocation.
  5.  For UNIX configurations, the SAP BACKINT symbolic links to the Commvault BACKINT links.

If the client to which the subclients belong is not connected to the network, a description of the connectivity problem appears in the table under Readiness Status.

MediaAgent

This window displays the status of the Network Connectivity Check for the MediaAgent.
