Viewing Reports for Web Analytics

After a website is registered with Web Analytics and the JavaScript snippet is added to the source code of the website, you can view reports for the website.

Web Analytics provides the following types of reports for a website:

You can select a date range for the reports that you want to view. The date range applies to the Dashboard and the Basic reports and the Advanced reports that you access. To compare the website performance across different date ranges, you can select dates ranges from six months (183 days) in the past up to the current date.

Important: Analytics data older than 183 days is automatically pruned from the system.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Web Console.
  2. From the My Applications page of the Web Console, click Analytics.
  3. From the Analytics page of the Web Console, click Web Analytics.
  4. On the Registered Sites tab, identify the registered website for which you want to view the report.
  5. Click View Reports.

    The Dashboard for the website opens.

  6. Choose whether to view a Basic report or an Advanced report:
    • To view a Basic report, from the Basic menu, click a report.
    • To view an Advanced report, from the Advanced menu, click a report.
  7. To select a date range for the report, in the upper-right corner of the page, do one of the following:
    1. Choose a predefined or a custom data range:
      • Click a predefined data range for the report.

        Note: Today provides a report for a period between 12:00 a.m. and 11.55 p.m.

      • Click Custom Range, and then define a data range for the report.

        You can select dates ranges from 180 days in the past up to the current date.

    2. Click Apply.
  8. To return to the Registered Sites tab to view the report of another website, click Home.
