Requesting Access to a Shared File or Folder from the Web Console

If you want access to a file or folder that was privately shared with another user, you can request a share invitation from the share owner from the Web Console.

The share owner receives the request in an email and can choose to allow or deny the share request. If the request was placed for an expired shared link, the owner can send the share invitation with a new expiry date.

Note: You can also view pending share invitations and allow or deny the share request from your computer using Explorer Plug-in. For instructions, see Viewing Share Invitations.

Before You Begin

  • Users you share with must have a Web Console account.
