Configuring the Disk Array for Disaster Recovery

After configuring the IP address for the management ports configure the disks of the storage enclosures for the disaster recovery operation.

Before Your Begins

Procedure

  1. Log on to the server where the CommServe and the MediaAgent are installed.
  2. At the command prompt, change the directory to C:\Appliance.
  3. To discover the newly added disks, run the DiskArrayConfig utility.

    DiskArrayConfig.exe --discovery --ip 192.168.128.101 --ip 192.168.128.102

  4. On the Wndows task-bar, click Server Manager.
  5. On the ribbon, click the Tools tab, and then click Computer Management.
  6. In the Computer Management window, under Storage, select Disk Management.
    1. Ensure that the old LUNs are visible and are online.

      If the LUNs are in the offline mode, right-click the LUN and click Online.

  7. Close the Server Manager.
  8. On Windows Explorer navigate to C: and verify that DiskStorage_Recoverd folder is created.
