Enabling Privacy at the CommCell Level

Before client owners can use the Privacy feature on their clients, privacy must be enabled at the CommCell level.

Note: Disabling privacy at the CommCell level does not change the privacy setting already set for clients. Once the Prevent administrators for viewing or downloading your data option is enabled for a client, then the client-level privacy option remains enabled even if the CommCell level privacy setting is disabled. Only the users who meet the criteria to enable privacy on a client can disable the privacy setting on a client.


  1. From the CommCell Console ribbon, on the Home tab, click Control Panel.
  2. Under the CommCell section, click System.

    The System dialog box is displayed.

  3. On the Security tab, select the Allow users to enable data privacy check box.
  4. Click OK.
