Configuring the Clinical Image Archiving Server Connection Settings

You can configure the Clinical Image Archiving connection settings from the Command Center.

Before You Begin

  • Verify that you have access to the Clinical Image Archiving feature in the Command Center. Your administrator must complete the steps in Setting Up Clinical Image Archiving.
  • Obtain the following information:
    • Port on the Web Server to transmit Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) data.
    • Port on the Web Server to transmit Health Level-7 (HL7) data.
    • The Command Center URL.
    • Command Center user credentials.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation panel, click Solutions > Healthcare > Servers.

    The Server configuration page appears.

  2. Configure the general server information, Under General, click Edit.

    The Server configuration dialog box appears.

    1. Enter the following information:
      • AE Title: A name for the Clinical Image Archiving connection.
      • DICOM port: The port number on the Web Server used to transmit DICOM data.
      • HL7 port: The port number on the Web Server used to transmit HL7 data.
      • URL: The Web Server address that the client uses to contact the server.

        The format is http://webhost:81/SearchSvc/WebService.svc.

      • User: The user name to log in to the Command Center.
      • Password: The password for the Command Center user.
  3. Click Save.

    Under Activity Control, the software automatically changes the DICOM Server setting to ON.

  4. To enable Performed Procedure Step (PPS) support for DICOM data, under Activity Control, click PPS manager to turn the service ON.

Add information about the medical endpoint clients in your environment to the Clinical Image Archiving.
