Applies To: Client Computer Groups and Workflows
Use this dialog box to create a folder, to manage the entities in the folder, or to manage automatic association rules. You can share the folder with other users or make the folder private so that only you can see it.
Folder (General)
Use the General tab to create a folder, to manage the entities in the folder, or to manage automatic association rules.
Folder Name
The name of the folder.
Description
Information about this folder.
Manual Association
Use this option to manually add entities to the folder.
- All Entities
Displays the available entities.
- Entities in This Folder
Displays entities in the folder.
Automatic Association
Use this option to automatically add existing or new entities to a folder.
- Match x of the following group (Available if multiple rule groups exist)
Defines the relationship between multiple rule groups. Valid values are all and any. Use the Add Rule Group button to create a rule group.
- Match x of the following rules (Available if multiple rules exist)
Defines the relationship between multiple rules. Valid values are all and any. Use the plus sign (+) button to create a rule.
- Rule Group
Displays the list of rules used to create a folder that adds entities through automatic associations.
Client computer groups options:
- Description
The description of the client computer group.
- Name
The name of the client computer group.
- Owner
The owner of the client computer group.
Workflow options:
- Name
The name of the workflow.
- User as Workflow Owner
The owner of the workflow.
- Workflow
Use to create a rule based on whether the workflow is deployed or not.
Operators:
- Contains
This operator searches for a character, string, word or phrase in the user-defined value.
- Does Not Contain
This operator searches for a character, string, word or phrase in the user-defined value, and inverts the result of the comparison.
- Is
This operator is used in exact string comparisons with pattern matching.
- Is Not
This operator inverts the result of a string comparisons with pattern matching.
- Starts With
This operator is used in character, string comparisons with pattern matching.
- Ends With
This operator is used in character, string comparisons with pattern matching.
- Equal to
- Not equal to
Values:
The values you use in the rule change depending on the matching option you chose from the first column.
- Description
- Add Rule Group
Creates a rule group.
- Preview
Displays the entities that will be added to the folder based on the rules that you defined.
Folder (Security)
Use the Security tab to share the folder with other users or to make the folder private so that only you can see it.
Private
Select this option to make the folder only visible to you.
Public
Use this option to identify the users and user groups who can see this folder. If the folder is shared with a master user, then the master user can edit and delete the folder.
Users with whom the folder is shared cannot edit or delete the folder.
User/User Groups
Displays the names of the users and user groups who can use this folder.
- Add
Click to add the users and user groups that you want to associate with this folder.
- Edit
Click to edit the existing association for the selected user or user group.
- Remove
Click to remove the selected users or user groups.
