Automating Backups of IBM i File System Disaster Recovery Backup Sets
You can schedule or run a workflow that performs a backup of the subclients that are part of a backupset that includes a Disaster Recovery subclient.
The workflow automates the backup process by starting a backup of the disaster recovery subclient. When the backup reaches the scan phase, the workflow initiates simultaneous backups of the other subclients that are part of the backup set.
Use this procedure to make sure that you have the appropriate backups in case you need to perform a Disaster Recovery operation.
Before You Begin
- If you have not done so, install the workflow engine.

- Download, and then run the IBM i Backup Client workflow from the Commvault Store.

The selected subclients are backed up. The job completes when the last backup completes. If any of the backups failed, then the workflow job displays Completed With Errors.
