Editing a Storage Copy

You can edit the following properties of a storage copy.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, expand Policies > Storage policies.
  2. In the Storage Policies page, click the storage policy.
  3. In the storage policy page, click the storage copy that you want to edit.
  4. In the storage copy page, in the General box, click Edit to modify the following properties:
    1. Change the copy type from synchronous copy to selective copy or from selective copy to synchronous copy.

      Set the backup frequency as required.

    2. By default, the Throttle Network is set to 500 megabytes per hour. However, you can select the Throttle Network check box and type the bandwidth limit.
    3. Click Save.
  5. In the Retention box, click Edit to modify the following properties:
    1. To enable or disable the data aging process, click and slide the Data Aging slider.
    2. To retain the associated data infinitely, select the Infinite check box.
    3. In the Retention box, type the number of days you want to retain the associated data.
    4. To set the extended retention rules, click Add for Extended Retention Rules.
    5. Click Save.
  6. In the Copy Policy box, click Edit to modify the following properties:
    1. In the Backups on and after (mm/dd/yyyy) box, select a different date.
    2. From the Source copy list, select a different source copy.
    3. Click Save.
