Completing the Oracle EBS Setup Wizard

When you log on to the Admin Console for the first time, a setup wizard guides you through the core setup required by the applications available in the Admin Console. After you complete the core setup, complete the setup wizard specific to the Oracle EBS application.

Before You Begin

Verify that you have the information about your Oracle EBS configuration:

  • The Oracle EBS service name
  • The Database Application Tier node information:
    • The node host name
    • User credentials for a node user that has read and write permission on the node.
    • The Oracle EBS system and password
    • The Oracle EBS sys password
    • The port that the database listener uses. By default, this is port 1521.
  • The following information for one Application Tier node
    • The application node host name
    • User credentials for a node user that has read and write permission on the node.
    • The APPS (also called FNDNAM) user name password
    • The WebLogic server user name and password

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, click Getting Started.
  2. Launch the Oracle E-Business Suite Setup Wizard.
    • If you do not see the Oracle E-Business Suite tile, in the blank tile, click Set up more solutions, and then click Complete Setup for Oracle E-Business Suite.
    • In the Oracle E-Business Suite tile,click Complete Setup for Oracle E-Business Suite.

    The EBS instance details page appears

  3. Specify the Oracle EBS information.
    1. In the EBS app name box, type a unique name to identify the service.
    2. From the DB client list, select a Commvault client that has the Oracle Agent installed.

      The client reprsents the Oracle EBS Database Tier node.

    3. In the Service name box, type the Oracle EBS service name.
    4. In the System password box, type the Oracle EBS system password.
    5. In the Sys password box, type the Oracle sys passwordIn the Apps username box and Apps password boxes, type the user credentials for the APPS user.
    6. In the Weblogic username box and Weblogic password boxes, type the user credentials for the Oracle EBS WebLogic server user.
  4. Click Discover nodes.

    The software uses the application node information to discover the application nodes that are part of the Oracle EBS configuration.

    The Client mapping page appears.

  5. Map the Oracle EBS cloud clients to Commvault clients.
    • To map the Database Tier node, in the row for the Database Tier node,from the Commvault client name list, select a Commvault client that has the Oracle Agent installed.
    • To map the Application Tier nodes, in the row for each Application Tier node,from the Commvault client name list, select a Commvault client that has the UNIX File System agent installed.

      Note: Each Application Tier node must map to a unique Commvault client.

Result

The software adds the Oracle EBS information. You can migrate the on-premise version to the cloud.
