Modifying a Database Plan

Modify the database plan properties.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, click Configuration > Plans.

    The Plans page appears.

  2. Click the plan name.

    The plan details page appears.

  3. To change the data storage location, under Data storage pool area, in the Actions column for the pool, click the action button action_button, and then click Edit.

    The Edit storage dialog box appears.

    1. From the Storage pool list, select the storage pool.
    2. In the Retention period box, type the number of days that the software will retain the data.
    3. Click Save.
  4. To change your SLA agreement value, under SLA, click Edit.

    The SLA dialog box appears.

    1. In the Backup SLA boxes, type the hours and minutes for the SLA agreement, and then click Save.
  5. To add a database backup schedule, under SLA,click Show associated schedules, and then click Add Schedule.

    The Add schedule dialog box appears.

    1. In the Name box, type a unique name for the schedule.
    2. Set the schedule options.

      For information on the available options, see Backup Schedule Options for Database Plans and Server Plans.

    3. Click Save.
  6. To change the log storage location, in the Log storage pool area, in the Actions column for the pool, click the action button action_button, and then click Edit.

    The Edit storage dialog box appears.

    1. From the Storage pool list, select the storage pool.

    3. Click Save.
  7. To change your log SLA agreement value, in the Log SLA area, click Edit.

    The Storage pool dialog box appears.

    1. In the Backup SLA boxes, type the hours and minutes for the SLA agreement, and then click Save.
  8. To add a log backup schedule, under Log SLA, click Show associated schedules, and then click Add Schedule.

    The Add schedule dialog box appears.

    1. In the Name box, type a unique name for the schedule.
    2. Set the schedule options.

    3. Click Save.

Result

The database plan has new values that take effect for the next schedule.
