Auto-Discovering User Accounts Using Azure Affinity Groups

You can use Azure affinity groups to auto-discover user accounts.

Before You Begin

Enable auto discovery of user accounts for a user-defined subclient, and then select Azure group affinity.

  1. From the navigation pane, click Solutions > Apps > Cloud Apps.
  2. On the Apps page, click the OneDrive for Business app.

    The app page appears.

  3. In the Subclients section, click the user-defined subclient that you want to auto-discover user accounts for.

    The user-defined subclient page appears.

  4. In the Content section, click Manage.

    The Subclient content dialog box appears.

  5. Click Add rule.

    The Add azure groups dialog box appears.

  6. Select the Azure affinity groups that you want to use to auto-discover user accounts, and then click Add.

    The Subclient content dialog box appears.

  7. Click Save, and then click OK.

What to Do Next

Run a backup operation on this user-defined subclient to back up all the user accounts that belong to the Azure affinity groups that you selected.
