Auxiliary Copy Schedule Options

The schedule options for an auxiliary copy schedule policy.

Auxiliary Copy Options

When adding an auxiliary copy schedule, you can select any of the following options:

  • Number of readers

    Select the value for the number of readers to use for the operation.

    • Number of streams

      Select the maximum number of data streams to use for the operation.

    • Allow Maximum

      Select to allow the maximum number of data streams for the operation.

  • Start new media

    If selected and removable media (tape) is being used on a secondary copy, the current active media is marked as full and a new media is used for the auxiliary copy.

    If cleared, the auxiliary copy automatically uses the current active media or volume.

  • Mark media full on success

    Select to mark the media used for the auxiliary copy operation as full after the operation is successfully completed.

  • Use most recent full backup for auxcopy

    Select to copy the most recent successful full backup for each subclient for the auxiliary copy job.

    If cleared, only the previously selected full backup job will be copied by the auxiliary copy job.

  • Wait for all parallel copy resources

    Select to wait for all resources to be available before the auxiliary copy operation begins.

  • Use scalable resource allocation

    Select to optimize the use of available resources for the auxiliary copy operation.

  • Skip jobs that failed data verification

    Select to skip copying data from jobs that failed data verification.

Schedule Pattern

Add a schedule pattern to run the operation based on a variety of criteria.

  • Name

    The name of the schedule pattern as it appears in the schedule policy.

  • Frequency

    The frequency option contains different types of schedules based on the criteria you want to use to schedule the operation.
