Configuring an HTTP Proxy for Amazon Web Services

By default, if an HTTP proxy is configured for the CommServe computer, that HTTP proxy is used by all clients in the CommCell group.

  1. To override the default HTTP proxy and use a different HTTP proxy to communicate with your cloud account (such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services), add the additional settings shown in the following table to the VSA proxy that is used for backup and restore operations in the cloud.

    Enter the host name or URL for the HTTP proxy to be used to connect to Azure or Amazon.

    To disable the HTTP proxy when connecting to Azure or Amazon, set the value to an empty string.

  2. After adding these additional settings, restart proxy services.
