Summary Table

This table provides information about archive jobs per client.

Column

Description

Client

Name of the client computer.

Total Jobs

Total number of jobs that ran on the client during the specified time.

Completed

Number of jobs that completed during the specified time.

Completed with Errors

Number of jobs that completed with errors.

Completed with Warnings

Number of jobs that completed with warnings.

Killed

Number of jobs that were killed.

Unsuccessful

Number of jobs that failed.

Running

Number of jobs that were running at the time of the report.

Delayed

Number of jobs that were delayed at the time of the report.

No Run

Number of scheduled jobs that failed to run.

No Schedule

Number of subclients without any scheduled archive jobs during the specified time range.

Size of Application (Compression Rate)

Total size of all jobs and percentage of compression.

Data Written (Space Saving Percentage)

Total amount of data written for all jobs and the percentage of space saved.

Space Saved by Archiving

In agents where archiving is enabled, this is the amount of space saved on a client computer after replacing the archived files with a stubbed archive file. The amount of space occupied by stubs is not excluded from the amount of space saved.

For virtual machines installed on a Windows OS, this value is the sum of the Guest size. For virtual machines installed on a non-Windows OS, such as Linux, this value is the sum of the Backup size.

Start Time

The time at which the first job began.

End Time

The time at which the last job ended.

Protected Objects

Number of objects included in the backup job.

Failed Objects

Number of objects that failed to back up.

Failed Folders

Number of folders that failed to back up.

Details Table

This table provides information about each archive or compliance archive job on each client that matches the selected criteria.

Column

Description

Client

Name of the client computer on which the archive job ran.

Agent/Instance

Type of agent and name of instance on which the archive job ran.

Backup Set/Subclient

Name of the backup set and subclient on which the archive job ran.

Job ID (CommCell) (Status)

ID number for the archive job and the status of the archive job.

Type

Type of archive. For example: Migration, New Index, Archive.

Scan Type

Indicates the type of scan method that is configured for the backup set on which the job ran.

Start Time (Writer Start Time)

Date and time at which the archive job began.

End Time or Current Phase (Write End Time)

Date and time at which the archive job ended.

Size of Application (Compression Rate)

Size of data compressed and the rate at which data was compressed during the archive job.

Data Transferred

Total size of data that was transferred from client to media during the archive job. This number will be low if Deduplication is configured on the client.

Data Written (Space Saving Percentage)

Amount of data written in kilobytes (KB) and percentage of space saved during the archive job.

Data Size Change

The percentage of data that changed between the last archive and the most recent archive.

Transfer Time (Current)

Amount of time it took to transfer the data from client to media.

Throughput (GB/Hour) (Current)

The amount of data backed up per hour during the transfer of data from client to media.

Protected Objects

Number of protected objects included in the archive job.

Failed Objects

Number of failed objects included in the archive job.

Failed Folders

Number of failed folders included in the archive job.

Failure Reason Section

This section appears for each job that includes an error. Information includes the following:

  • Job error code
  • Description of the error
  • Source and Process that are related to the error

Protected Virtual Machines Table

This section includes a summary of the virtual machines that were archived during the job and a table with detailed information about each virtual machine. Information is collected only for VMware Virtual Server iDataAgents.

Column

Description

Machine Name

Name of the virtual machine on which the archive job ran.

Proxy

A physical computer separate from the host computer on which the iDataAgent is installed. This computer facilitates most of the data movement from the host computer to the backup media. In some cases, this computer may be a virtual machine installed on the host computer. Such computers are referred to as a Proxy Virtual Machine.

Status

Status of the archive job.

Virtual Machine Size

Size of the virtual machine in gigabytes (GB).

Backup Size

Size of the archive job in gigabytes (GB).

Guest Size

Amount of used space in the volumes on a virtual machine.

Start Time

Date and time at which the archive job began.

End Time

Date and time at which the archive job ended.

VMware Tools

Version of the VMware Tools software that is installed on the virtual machine.

Hardware Version

Type of hardware on which the virtual machine resides.

Operating System

Operating system that is installed on the virtual machine.

Backup Type

Type of archive job that ran.

Transport Mode

Method that was used to transfer backed up data to media. This indicates either the Transport Mode configured for the subclient, or if the subclient is set to Auto, the Transport Mode that was used for this particular archive.

CBT Status

Whether the journal was used to identify data blocks that changed since the last incremental backup.

VM Archive Management Status

Whether a virtual machine was archived, failed to archive, or was relocated. Relocated indicates that the virtual machine was moved to a different ESX server.

Powered off by current job

Whether the virtual machine was powered off during the archive job.

Owners

User who owns the virtual machine.
