Dev-Test Groups - Online Help

Use this wizard to create a dev-test group of virtual machines (VMs) based on a Live Sync or Virtual Lab policy.

Enter the Group Name and Description

Group Name

Use this box to enter a name for the dev-test group.

Description

Use this box to enter a description of the dev-test group.

Select Client

The options on this page allow you to specify which clients will be used to create virtual labs.

Available

Lists all clients that can be selected for use in this dev-test group

Selected

Lists all clients that are selected for use with this dev-test group.

Add

Moves the clients selected in the Available list to the Selected list.

Remove

Moves the client selected in the Selected list to the Available list.

Add All

Moves all clients from the Available list to the Selected list.

Remove All

Moves all clients from the Selected list to the Available list.

Select Machines

The options on this page allow you to specify which clients can be used to create DR VMs.

Place Machines in Isolated Network

When selected, allows you to use a Virtual Lab Policy to configure the virtual lab settings. When cleared, allows you to use a Live Mount Policy to configure the virtual lab settings.

Select All

Makes all clients available for the virtual lab.

Client Machine List

Allows you to select one or more clients to use for the virtual lab. The client machine, backup set, and last backup time appear in the list.

Live Mount Configuration

The options on this page allow you to specify the order in which VMs will power on.

Live Mount Policy

Select the Live Mount Policy to use when creating the virtual lab.

Power On VMs

When selected, automatically powers on all VMs in the virtual lab.

Virtual Machine List

Select the order of priority for each VM to power on in the virtual lab.

Continue validating VMs after a failure

When selected, if a VM is not validated, the next priority VM will be validated.

Priority Interval

Allows you to specify the number of minutes to wait for the VM to power on before it fails.

The options on this page allow you to specify the order in which VMs will power on.
