Configuring a Shared Device
If users in your company share laptop or desktop computers, you can back up and restore data for each user separately. After the end-user Laptop package is installed on a shared laptop or desktop computer, the shared computer is treated as a separate device for each registered user. Before You Begin
To view the shared device configuration on the Command Center, complete the following steps:
- To the CommServe computer, add the showSharedLaptopUsage additional setting as shown in the following table.
- To configure shared device on all the computers in the CommCell, from the navigation pane, go to Administration > CommCell.
To configure shared device on all the computers in a specific Company, from the navigation pane, go to Configuration > Companies, and then click a company name.
- In the General section, move the Shared laptop usage toggle key to the right.
Each user registered to the shared computer is listed as a device on the Laptops page.
