Configuration

  1. Collect the credential required to access Amazon S3 cloud storage as described in Add / Edit Cloud Storage (General) and Amazon S3.
  2. Follow the steps described in Creating a Cloud Storage Library.

Configure the library as an Amazon S3 library if you have one of the following setup:

How is data pruned from Archive Cloud Storage?

Restore

All regular restore operations supported - no additional configuration needed.

Follow the steps described in Restoring Data from Archive Cloud Storage Using a Workflow to configure restore operations.

You can then initiate a restore operation when needed. See Restore Backup Data for general information.

If the Amazon S3 Life Cycle Rule or Amazon Glacier storage class is configured to move data to Amazon Glacier after an initial retention period, then you must configure the restore operations as described in Restoring Data from Archive Cloud Storage Using a Workflow

You can then initiate a restore operation when needed. See Restore Backup Data for general information.
