Use this dialog box to select restore options.
Displays the name of the client computer to which the selected data will be restored. To change the destination computer, select one from the list. The list includes clients:
- Which are established as clients within the CommCell.
- Clients with Operating Systems that support the cross-platform restore operation from this client. (Refer to the topic titled Cross Platform Restore Operations in Books Online for additional information.)
By default, data is restored to the same computer from which it was backed up.
Specifies the appropriate restore mode(s) from the following.
- Entire Instance Restore
Specifies whether to restore entire Informix databases in an instance in multistreams.
- Whole System Restore (Serial)
Specifies whether to restore in serial all of the data for the client. Only one stream is required; additional streams are ignored by the system.
- Partial Restore
Specifies whether to activate the instance and its contents and to establish the restore of a subset of database objects.
- Log Only
Use this option only if the Informix server status is in Fast Recovery Mode. If you wish to switch over from a primary to the secondary computer, use this option to restore all the collected logs from primary computer to the secondary computer.
Specifies whether to restore the uncommitted backup data.
Specifies whether to restore all of the logical logs.
The Latest Database View
By default, displays the database tree as it existed in the latest backup. Use the tree structure to establish either an entire or partial database restore by selecting the appropriate entity.For Oracle and Informix, if you specify a point-in-time by clicking the New Browse button, the database tree as existing in the specified point-in-time is displayed.
Displays the current status of the database (online, off-line, or quiescent).

Click to display the Specify Point-In-Time dialog box, which allows to you select options to restore from either the:
- Latest backup, or the
- Backup created at or before the date and time that you specify.
The database tree displayed in the latest backup data pane is suitably refreshed based on the selected option.
Restore Emergency Boot File (ixbar)
Specifies whether to restore the emergency boot file.
Restore ONCONFIG File
Specifies whether to restore the ONCONFIG file.
Number of restore streams
Displays the number of streams for the restore.
The number of streams indicated in this field may be greater than the number of streams that was set in the BAR_MAX_BACKUP parameter within the ONCONFIG file. This occurs because of this iDataAgent operations.
Click to select additional restore options.Save As Script
Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.
When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding XML parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters as per need.
