Configuring Proxy Settings on the CommServe Client Computer

To enable the CommServe to route requests and responses through a proxy, configure the proxy settings on the CommServe client computer.


  1. From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Client Computers, right-click the CommServe_client_name and select Properties.
  2. Click the Network button in the Client Computer Properties dialog box.
  3. Select the Configure Firewall Settings check box in the Firewall Configuration tab.
  4. Click the Add button in the Incoming Connections tab.
  5. From the From list, select the Commvault_proxy_name.
  6. From the State list, select Blocked, and click OK.
  7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 to add the Client_computer_group_name and set the State to Restricted.
  8. Click the Outgoing Routes tab, and then click the Add button.
  9. From the Remote Group/Client list, select the Client_computer_group_name.
  10. Click Via Proxy option under Route Type.
  11. Under Proxy Settings group, from the Remote Proxy list, select the Commvault_proxy_name, and click OK.
  12. Click the Options tab and select the Roaming Client check box, and click OK.
  13. Click OK to close the Client Computer Properties dialog box.
